You can discover the last gate of the medieval town near the river: the Lomprez gate, Gothic on one side and Romanesque on the other. To do so, take the Rue de Revogne and then the very first to the right at the height of the half-timbered house up to the river. Please be respectful of the neighbourhood. This gate, sometimes erroneously referred to as the “Roman gate”, dates back to the medieval times (1240, as indicated by a plaque in Latin inside the gate).
