The Plaquette butters
Not far from here lies the village of Mesnil-Saint-Blaise, where Lionel Plaquette, traditional livestock breeder and artisan produces a butter of growing renown, available in a few yummy varieties : unsalted butter, butter delicately flavoured with Guérand sea salt , with garlic and herbs, with shallots and tarragon, and a truly magnificent butter with onions and ginger (simply to die for with sea food or grilled fish )and a divine truffle butter to turn fresh pasta into pasta heaven, jazz up 'cornes des gattes' potatoes or add the final touch to a nice piece of grilled meat. The Plaquette butter is now available from prestigious Rob’s gourmet’s market, the foodies’ talent scout. As you will have gathered; these butters are definitely a must for any self-respecting gourmet!
