Description

Modeste dépendance du domaine de Wellin située à la limite du Comté de Luxembourg (institué en Duché en 1354), Lomprez se verra érigée en ville fortifiée au XIVème siècle.  On doit sans doute sa fondation à Jean l'Aveugle, comte de Luxembourg qui voulait asseoir son autorité face au château voisin de Revogne, dépendant de la Principauté de Liège.  Il séjourna à Lomprez en avril 1342.  Son château sera définitivement démantelé et incendié en 1445.
