The Fagne de Malchamps is a high Ardennes plateau of moorland, peat bogs and forests. It is located about 4 km south-east of the centre of Spa along the national road 62 which leads to Francorchamps. Listed as a site of great biological interest, the fagne is also mainly part of the municipality of Spa but also of the municipalities of Stoumont and Stavelot. It is bordered to the south by the ancient Vecquée road.
Its subsoil contains the mineral waters of Spa which are exploited by the Spadel company.
