Description
From the Spa Tourist Office, head for RAVEL 44a, a trail built on the old railway line between Spa and Trois-Ponts, offering a picturesque route through forests and streams. You will pass through a number of villages, including Jalhay and Sart-Station, where the old railway station now houses a restaurant. As you pass through the village of Sart, you can admire a number of attractions, including the market square with its thousand-year-old oak tree and its church. After a descent via the Croupet du Moulin, you pass under the motorway and through the charming villages of Tiège and Arbespine, home to the Royal Golf Club des Fagnes. Following the Avenue de l'Hippodrome and the Avenue Léopold II, you reach the Thermes de Spa, continuing a spa tradition dating back to 1868. On the way back to the town centre, you pass the Spa cemetery and the former villa of Queen Marie-Henriette, now converted into the Water and Horse Museums, before finishing your loop at the Tourist Office.
