Chapelle Saint-Roch

Description

Saint Roch (  1337) est invoqué pour être protégé ou guéri de la peste. Son culte s'est largement répandu dans nos régions, surtout au XVIIe siècle, période d'épidémies. En 1636, la mortalité fut terrifiante à Saint-Hubert et dans les alentours. En 1668, on construisit au sommet de la rue du Mont une chapelle en l'honneur du saint, et l'on fit vœu d'y célébrer la messe chaque année le 16 août.
