If you want to see the Protestant Stele, turn left instead of going straight.
Take the small road towards the stela. You will again see the sign "Stele Protestante." Leave your car at the entrance of the wood. Walk down the path in the woods and take a path on the left to get lost in a valley surrounded by woods, in search of a simple stone that marks the site of a "desert".
A desert is a place of secret meetings and clandestine worship Protestants (many in the area) persecuted during the wars of religion (seventeenth century).
Enjoy the peace and quiet of the place. Danger was great to choose a place as lost!
Retrace your steps to get to your vehicle, then back on the road to Saint Preuil.
