On this hike, you cross the railway line which connected Chimay to Momignies in 1859. This line was created in 1857 by "La Compagnie du Chemin de fer de Chimay"
to promote the economic development of the region, and the first section connected Mariembourg to Chimay. This line was used for transporting coal, wood and livestock mainly. Today, this line is a section of the Ravel between France (Ohain) and Chimay.
